Live & Learn is a family owned compounding pharmacy in Riverview Florida. We opened in May 2008 and we are proud to practice the tradition of providing our patients with old fashioned service using the latest technology and equipment. In 2014 we changed our name to "Live & Learn Compounding Pharmacy" to emphasize our commitment to wellness through compounded medications AND education in a fun, matter-of-fact way that reflects our style and mindset.
What is Compounding?
We specialize in solving medication problems through compounding - the art and science of preparing personalized medications for patients. Compounded medications are “made from scratch” – individual ingredients are mixed together in the exact strength and dosage form required by the patient. This method allows the compounding pharmacist to work with the patient and the prescriber to customize a medication to meet the patient’s specific needs.
This means we can help patients who need formulations that are that are free of dyes , lactose , or gluten. We can make the exact tiny doses needed by premature infants and newborns. We even make medication for your pets- flavored liquids and treats , and even a gel you can rub in their ear!!
Live & Learn also hosts seminars and lectures on a variety of topics from speakers who are experts in their fields. Subscribe to our blog for news of upcoming seminars.
